According to a report in The Sun, there are ongoing discussions for Amir Khan (27-3, 19KOs) to face former welterweight champion Vyacheslav Senchenko (33-1, 22KOs) in Manchester, England. Khan is attempting to persuade Senchenko to come down to 140-pounds, but appears to be open to the idea of taking the fight at 147 as well.

Last November in Manchester, Senchenko stopped the comeback plans of superstar Ricky Hatton, by scoring a ninth round knockout with a big hook to the body.

They two camps are discussing a date of April 20 at the Manchester Arena, where Senchenko downed Hatton. According to the paper, Senchenko is holding out for a payday of around £500,000. If the fight happens at 147, and Khan wins, he will then decide if he plans to stick around at the weight or move back down.
