Undefeated prospect Jesse Magdaleno (13-0, 9KOs) stopped by ATG Radio this past week to accept his fan voted "Prospect of the Year award.  We discussed various topics with him.  The super bantamweight prospect had this to say about his promoter Top Rank:

"They gave me top quality fighters.  With my preparation and my way of fighting, I showed people what I am capable of inside the ring.  Top Rank saw that they can throw me any challenge and I am 100% ready for it."

On his last fight with Jonathan Arrellano:

"The fight was really good.  The kid could really take a shot.  He took quite a few great shots.  I put him down in the 3rd and 6th round.  That is nothing against him he is a great fighter and gave me a great fight.  Every round it went it was spectacular."

On his plans for 2013:

"If everything goes right this year there is no way I do not see myself going for a world title.  I am ready for whatever they bring at me.  Step by step we are making our way to the world title.  Hopefully by the end of 2013 I will have a world title around my waist."

On his next fight will be:

"Hopefully soon.  I am ready for whatever they throw at me.  Maybe in Feb. to get me going."

On his brother Diego fighting for a title:

"They say he has a fight for a world title and they say it is his big fight.   They haven't thrown any names out there yet but I am pretty sure whoever has a world title is who he is going for."
