Steve Cunningham (25-5, 12 KOs), who feels robbed of a victory, thanked the army of Polish boxing fans who reached out with their full support. Even many Polish boxing fans believe Cunningham had did enough to win a twelve round decision over the biggest Polish attraction, Tomasz Adamek (48-2, 29 KOs). Adamek was awarded a twelve round split decision victory.

"I would like to thank the Polish boxing fans who sent me messages after Saturday's fight with words of support and encouragement. I'm proud of my attitude in this one, that night I gave my best. The words of support that I received from the fans of Tomasz Adamek, who say that I won this fight, have helped me through this difficult time. I'm very disappointed that I was ripped off on Saturday. I appreciate the true boxing fans and I have a lot of respect for them for speaking the truth against the boxer who they support. Again, I thank you for your great support. May God bless you!"
