Former champion Adrien Broner (24-0, 20KOs) is ready for his coming out party. He says the upcoming fight WBC lightweight champion Antonio DeMarco (28-2-1, 21KOs) is the fight that puts his name on the list of boxing's elite. Broner-DeMarco takes place on Saturday night at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. HBO will televise the fight. The televised broadcaset will also feature a heavyweight co-feature between unbeaten Seth Micthell and veteran Johnathan Banks.

It's no secret that Broner idolized Floyd Mayweather Jr. The unbeaten boxer views the shot at DeMarco as his "Mayweather vs. Diego Corrales" crossover showdown. Mayweather, who was also 24-0 at the time, fought Corrales in a highly anticipated battle of unbeatens in 2001. In what many considered to be a 50-50 fight, Mayweather made it a complete mismatch by dominating Corrales throughout the entire contest. Mayweather forced Corrales' corner to throw in the towel in the tenth round after dropping Corrales for the fifth time in the fight.

"This is a big crossover fight for me. They already know my talent is something special. This fight will probably put the cap on the bottle. This is Floyd-Corrales. That's how I look at it. I'm definitely making my way for my own legacy. This fight will put me in a position where people wish to be. There is a lot good fighters out there , but I have the chance what everybody can't do as an elite fighter," Broner told BoxingScene.com.
