Orlando Del Valle (16-1) suffered his first  professional loss last Saturday when he faced future hall of famer Vic Darchinyan in an HBO televised fight. The result obviously wasn't what he was looking for but Orlandito said that he is more determined than ever to realize his dream of becoming a world champion.

"I am not happy because I lost but I have no doubt in my mind that this loss has made me hungrier than ever.  It has given me even more desire than I knew I had in me.

"Me and my team will make the adjustments needed and continuing on our road to a world champion," Del Valle told BoxingScene.com.

The Puerto Rican fighter showed a lot of heart by going the distance against Darchinyan who is known as a big puncher. He even had the Armenian hurt at one point in the 9th round.

Del Valle said that he learned a lot from the fight and will be a better fighter because of it. He also wants to thank all of the fans that stuck by his side.

"I'm thankful for all of the support the fans and the media have given me. I have an obligation to come back even stronger.  Not only for me but for all of them that didn't let me fall and continue to support me," Del Valle stated.
