Light heavyweight Denis Simcic (28-1, 14KOs) will make the first defense of the WBO European title against Frenchman Hakim Chioui (24-2-1, 18KOs) on September 7 in Muelheim an der Ruhr. Simcic has won his last nine fights. Headlining this SES promotion is heavyweight Francesco Pianeta, who takes on former champion Francois Botha.
