WBO/IBF super bantamweight champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire begins shooting a remake of a Visayan movie starring  the late world junior lightweight champion Gabriel “Flash” Elorde and Gloria Sevilla at the Elorde Gym on Thursday.

Donaire who together with wife Rachel returned last weekend from a short visit to Japan told BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard - “I want to help revive Visayan movies that’s why I’m doing this.”

The initial shoot will be at the Elorde Sports Complex on Sucat Road, Paranaque.

He said “its going to be totally different” from his career as a four-division world champion who is looking forward to an exciting showdown with Mexican warrior Jorge “Travieso” Arce on October 13.

Donaire said he plans to return to the US on August 15 to start training at the Undisputed Gym in San Carlos City, California.

Donaire said “I feel good about this fight. I feel strong and I think its going to be a good fight.”

The reigning super bantamweight champion said that Arce “is one of the fighters I wanted for so long” even as he expressed the hope that Arce will stick to his known style of being aggressive and coming forward.

Donaire fears that should Arce feel his power  he may back off pointing out that when he knocked out veteran Fernando “Cochulito” Montiel in the 2nd round of their

WBC/WBO bantamweight title fight “they needed surgery on his cheek” while in his last fight against IBF champion Jeffrey Mathebula he broke the South African’s jaw in two places.
