BoxingScene.com has been advised that the final televised slot on Golden Boy's big Showtime televised quadrupleheader, taking place on September 15th at the MGM Grand, will likely be filled by undefeated WBC super bantamweight champion Abner Mares (24-0, 13KOs) versus an opponent that will be announced at Golden Boy's press conference on Tuesday in Los Angeles.

WBC 154-pound champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez will face Josesito Lopez in the main event. Jhonny Gonzalez versus Daniel Ponce De Leon and Marcos Maidana versus Jesus Soto Karass round out the other two televised slots.

The card will go head to head versus promotional rival Top Rank's pay-per-view card, also being staged in Las Vegas, at the Thomas & Mack Center. That card will be headlined by the middleweight title clash between Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Sergio Martinez.
