World Boxing Council president Jose Sulaiman has cautioned pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao to be war of undefeated light welterweight champion Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley when Pacquiao defends his WBO welterweight title at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in June 9.

Sulaiman told BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard that while he is very pleased with Pacquiao’s change in lifestyle and his Bible studies he wishes to warn Pacquiao to be well prepared for Bradley whom he described as a hungry young fighter.

Sulaiman said besides his advantage in age Bradley “is quick, hits hard and is a smart fighter” that may pose problems for the 33 year old Pacquiao unless he is in perfect condition for the fight.

The latest reports out of Pacquiao’s training camp at the Shape Up Gym in Baguio City indicate the eight division world champion and “Fighter of the Decade” is in good shape and has shown remarkable hand-speed and punching power in sparring sessions with Russian welterweight Ruslan Providknov who has an impressive record of 21-1 with 14 knockouts.

Pacquiao’s adviser Michael Koncz agreed with Sulaiman saying they know Bradley “is a young fighter who’s got an opportunity to prove to the world that he is a hungry fighter like Manny was although he is still hungry. I’m sure that Bradley is going to come prepared in the best shape he can be in and give it all he has.”

Koncz said he expect a very exciting fight “because of the styles and there are going to be lot of punches thrown” although he expressed confidence that Pacquiao would prevail.

Pacquiao’s adviser pointed out that “Manny knows that because of the last performance against Juan Manuel Marquez we need to have an exclamation mark in this fight. I think Manny is going to go out there and try to end it early.”

However, Bradley feels very differently. In an Examiner interview posted on ABS-CBN News, Bradley was quoted as saying that fighting Pacquiao will be “easy work” for him.

Bradley said “I’m not saying that Pacquiao is going to lay down or whatever but I just think that what I bring to the ring, I think its going to make it extremely hard for him.”

He appeared to echo the words of Sulaiman when he said that on top of everything “you’ve got my speed, you got my power, you got my determination. Its going to be easy work for me” claiming that Pacquiao has “never faced anyone with my skills, my determination, with my strengths in his whole career. He never fought anybody like me.”
