BoxingScene.com recently spoke to IBF middleweight champion Daniel Geale who defends his title versus Osumanu Adama on March 7th.  After this fight Geale's new promoter Gary Shaw plans on bringing the Australian star to the United States. See what Geale had to see in this exclusive interview.

BoxingScene: Daniel give us your thoughts on your upcoming title defense versus Osumanu Adama.

Daniel Geale: My fight with Adama is going to be a tough fight.  Adama is a quality fighter with a big punch so I will need to be good defensively and have confidence in my own ability.

BoxingScene: Do you know much about Adama?  What is the key to coming out with

the victory?

Daniel Geale: I have watched Adama and know how he fights.  Adama has good

skills but I have to be dominant, control him with my footwork and use

combinations when I punch.

BoxingScene: You recently signed a promotional contract with Gary Shaw.  From what I have heard the plan is to bring you to the United States after this fight.  How do you block that out so that you can concentrate on Adama and make sure you are focused and prepared for the fight?

Daniel Geale: For me I take one fight at a time, it is very dangerous to look too far ahead. I know I have big fights in front of me but I can't get their until I beat the next guy in front of me.

BoxingScene: All of your fights have been in your native Austraila with the exception of your fight against Sebastian Sylvester when you won your title.  How did that experience fighting in Sylvester's backyard prepare you for when you make the move to the United States?

Daniel Geale: I enjoy fighting in other countries.  I would have liked to fight in the U.S. already but unfortunately negotiations didn't go that way for me.  Don't get me wrong, I love fighting in Australia but I'll enjoy the experience of fighting in other countries again. It's a great challenge for me.

BoxingScene: What fighters are you interested in facing in your U.S. debut?

Daniel Geale: The best fighters are what we are looking at. Guys like Martinez, Pirog and Jermain Taylor.

BoxingScene: Most of your career has been fought as a middleweight.  Are you looking to make move up in weight at some point in your career.

Daniel Geale: No.  At the moment middleweight is where I am comfortable.  As I am getting older I believe I am getting somewhat smarter. I am making my weight better and better each time and feeling stronger so I'm happy.

BoxingScene: Last question.  Do you have a message for all the fans out there?

Daniel Geale: My message is that I'm excited and looking forward to traveling and defending my title against the best fighters in the world. If people want to see the best fighters in the world fighting each other, keep watching.
