The return of former flyweight champion Tomas "Gusano" Rojas (37-13-1, 25KOs) has been moved to March 3rd in Tijuana. There is still outstanding controversy with the World Boxing Council, who warned Zanfer Promotions about backing Rojas' comeback.

A few weeks ago, Rojas claimed that he accepted money to take a dive in his six-round TKO loss to Jorge Arce in September 2007 in Las Vegas.

The World Boxing Council ordered Rojas to appear at their headquarters to explain his comments on the Arce fight - since both fighters were competing that night for a WBC regional title. After Rojas refused to appear, the WBC issued "a worldwide ban" on Rojas.

Two weeks ago, Zanfer Promotions announced a show for February 25th, with the return of Rojas. The fight was later moved to Zanfer's March 3rd event.

The WBC is threatening to "suspend Zanfer Promotions" if the show moves forward with Rojas. The WBC doesn't explain what that suspension on Zanfer would mean, but some speculate the organization would refuse to sanction WBC title bouts on Zanfer promoted events.
