IBF junior middleweight champion Cornelius "K9" Bundrage recently reached out to BoxingScene.com to give his take on James Kirkland's TKO victory over Alfredo Angulo. Bundrage admits that he didn't pick Kirkland to come out with the victory against the Mexican slugger. He did however lavish his fellow junior middleweight with praise.

"I thought Angulo would win.  Kirkland showed heart getting up from that punch. Kirkland did a good job," said Bundrage.

The former Contender series participant has been looking for a big fight since defeating Sechew Powell in June. He said that he had no problem giving Kirkland a shot at his title.

"I will give the opportunity to Kirkland because of his performance! He proved himself to the other guy (Angulo) but he hasn't proven himself to me," Bundrage told BoxingScene.com.

In closing K9 said that besides facing Kirkland he is interested in unifying titles and making the biggest fights possible.  He said that he would consider facing any title holder or any other big money fight.

"I'm in the business for belts and bread! The WBO World Champ (Zaurbek Baysangurov) can get it again.  I beat him in Germany and now he's a world champ.  I want his belt and I also want (Miguel) Cotto's belt."
