On July 2, David Haye (25-1, 23 KOs) battles Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KOs) at Imtech-Arena in Hamburg, Germany, for heavyweight supremacy. Former WBA champion Nikolay Valuev (50-2, 34 KOs), who was outpointed by the brash Brit in 2009, expressed his serious concerns about the fight actually taking place as scheduled. Valuev shared his thoughts with Dmitry Grebenschikov of Ruslife.eu.

“This collision has been talked about at numerous points in the last few years. I think this fight isn’t going to happen, partially due to financial reasons”, said Valuev. “David Haye knows perfectly well how dangerous the situation really is. He will agree to take on Klitschko only if the financials will suit his biggest demands. The British boxer does realize that it can very well be his last fight as a world champion."
