Juan Manuel Lopez, the undefeated WBO featherweight champion, is almost at the weight of his division and he's ready for his next defense this Saturday against Mexico's Orlando Salido. He plans to win with his skills as a boxer and using quicker punches, but he also doesn't rule out a knockout. Juanma plans to box smart and won't allow himself to be reckless by looking for a quick knockout in the early rounds. He wants to break Salido down.

"I'm going back to the old school and using my amateur knowledge, but if we have to enter the zone of fire, we'll go. If there's a knockout, it will be in something like the eight or ninth round. I do not think it will come in the first round. If the knockout comes, it would be better, but I'm not going in there with that mentality. You have to please the public but with 30 fights you have to do it intelligently. Now I'm stronger and I won't get hurt, no way," Juanma said.
