Unbeaten heavyweight prospect Frank Sanchez (15-0) was last in action on March 7th when he dominated veteran Joey Dawejko over 10 rounds.  The final scores were 100-90 twice and 98-92.

The bout opened up a Premier Champions on FOX tripleheader that was topped by Robert Helenius' upset knockout victory over the previously unbeaten Adam Kownacki.

The 27-year-old Cuban has a decorated amateur background and has been fast tracked in the professional ranks.  After his victory he said that he doesn't believe he is that far away from fighting the best in the heavyweight division.

“I think in 2 or 3 fights I will be ready. Then I will be ready for anyone,” Sanchez stated.

Sanchez was also asked about the upcoming trilogy bout pitting WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury against former champion Deontay Wilder. The third installment is penciled in for July 18th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas but the fight could be pushed back all the way to early October - depending on how long it takes for the coronavirus pandemic to be controlled in the United States.

Whenever the Fury-Wilder 3 takes place, Sanchez believes that Fury will once again emerge victorious.

“Well, how I saw their last fight, I think it will be very hard for Wilder to beat Fury. I think Fury will beat him again when they fight again. The only thing that Wilder has is his right hand and he doesn’t know how to box. When he fights boxers like me who know how to box and move they will beat him,” Sanchez stated.

Sanchez fought 4 times in 2019 with 3 of his 4 victories coming by way of knockout.  The win over Dawekjko was his first outing of 2020.
