It´s official: IBO cruiserweight king Kevin Lerena (24-1) defends the title on February 8 in Goeppingen (Germany) against 48-year old veteran and fomer WBA champ Firat Arslan (47-8-3) with EC Boxing promoting.

Should Arslan win he will become the oldest world champion in history, yes, even older than the legendary Bernard Hopkins.  For Lerena it´s his sixth defence of the title he won by beating Youry Kalemba in 2017.

as BoxingScene.com previosuly reported, former EBU welterweight champ Kerman Lejarraga returns to the ring on November 30 in Barcelona on a Gallego Prada promotion against an opponent to be announced. Lejarraga suffered back to back losses against David Avanesyan earlier this year and blamed it on problems with making weight.

 In the chief support Alejandro Moya (12-0) and Ruben Rodriguez (8-4-19 clash for the vacant Spanish super welterweight title.

The Salo Knockout Night on November 30 in Salo (Finland) will now also feature a fight for national title at cruiser between Samuli Karkkainen (10-0) and Jarkko Ojapalo (6-0). Super lightweight and local man Jarkko Putkonen (16-62) tops the bill against an opponent to be announced.

IBF female super middleweight champ Elin Cederroos (6-0) takes on Kenyan veteran Florence Muthoni on November 22 in Sedavi (Spain) in a non-title fight. Cederroos won the title in March with an upset win over Femke Hermans in Belgium.
