Jarrell Miller came in slightly lower Friday than the career-high 317 pounds he weighed for his previous fight.

The undefeated heavyweight contender officially weighed in at 315¼ pounds for his 12-round fight against Bogdan Dinu on Saturday night. Romania’s Dinu stepped on the Kansas Athletic Commission’s scale at 237¼ pounds.

Despite the significant discrepancy, Brooklyn’s Miller will have less of a weight advantage against Dinu (78 pounds) than he owned over Tomasz Adamek. The 30-year-old Miller (22-0-1, 19 KOs) was 90 pounds heavier than the 41-year-old Adamek (53-6, 31 KOs), whom Miller knocked out in the second round October 6 at Wintrust Arena in Chicago.

The 32-year-old Dinu (18-0, 14 KOs), one of Anthony Joshua’s sparring partners, will fight for the first time in the United States. The 6-feet-5 contender is ranked No. 9 among the WBA’s heavyweight contenders, but hasn’t beaten a ranked opponent during his 10 years as a professional.

The Miller-Dinu fight will be the main event of a nine-bout card DAZN will stream live from Kansas Star Arena in Mulvane, Kansas.

Women’s star Claressa Shields (6-0, 2 KOs), who’ll defend her IBF and WBA middleweight titles in the co-featured fight, weighed in just under the middleweight limit (159½ pounds) before Miller and Dinu came to the scale Friday afternoon. Shields’ opponent, Scotland’s Hanna Rankin (5-2, 1 KO), officially weighed 158½ pounds.

Earlier Friday, Philadelphia’s Gabriel Rosado (24-11, 14 KOs, 1 NC) weighed 158¼ pounds for his 10-round middleweight match against Luis Arias (18-1, 9 KOs). Milwaukee’s Arias came in at 159¼ pounds.

Also Friday, Brandon Rios weighed 151¼ pounds for a fight that’ll mark the former WBA lightweight champion’s return to his native Kansas.

Rios (34-4-1, 25 KOs), of Oxnard, California, will meet Mexico’s Ramon Alvarez in a 10-round junior middleweight match. Alvarez (27-6-3, 16 KOs, 1 NC) also weighed in at 151¼ pounds.

This card will take place near Wichita, Kansas, the hometown of 2016 American Olympian Nico Hernandez.

The 22-year-old Hernandez (5-0, 4 KOs) weighed in at 112¼ pounds for his eight-round, super flyweight fight against Houston’s Josue Morales (8-7-3). Morales weighed 113½ pounds.
