Heavyweight: If one takes note of Tyson Fury’s lineal claim to the championship, then credit him with now two defenses of history’s throne after a decision over Francisco Pianeta. Fury will put his claim up against Deontay Wilder’s WBC crown later this year. In a head scratcher, the WBA has added an interim titlist after Trevor Bryan’s win over BJ Flores despite neither having a notable win against a top ten rated WBA fighter at the time.

Cruiserweight: A new line is established at 200 lbs. after Oleksandr Usyk’s masterful performance against Murat Gassiev. Usyk now owns full claim to every title in the division that matters. Will he defend them or move to heavyweight?

Light Heavyweight: Dmitry Bivol added another successful WBA title defense on the undercard of a thrilling upset. Eleider Alvarez is the new WBO titlist following a knockout of Sergey Kovalev.

Super Middleweight: Jose Uzcategui has been elevated from interim to full IBF titlist following James DeGale’s decision to vacate his belt.

Jr. Middleweight: Jaime Munguia posted his first successful title defense with a decision over Liam Smith.

Welterweight: Manny Pacquiao ended nearly a decade without a knockout, winning the WBA’s sub-title at welterweight by stopping Lucas Matthysse.

Lightweight: Mikey Garcia is now a unified titlist at lightweight following his unanimous decision over Robert Easter Jr.

Jr. Lightweight: While typically one should defer to the WBA’s ‘super’ champion as their primary, Alberto Machado is a strange case. He beat the previous ‘super’ champion, Jezreel Corrales and has now defended once while Gervonta Davis later fought to be the new ‘super’ champion. Machado has his first defense while two new titlists, Tevin Farmer (IBF) and Masayuki Ito (WBO) grabbed vacant belts since the last update.

Jr. Featherweight: With some debate about the decision, TJ Doheny went on the road to Japan and upset Ryosuke Iwasa to win the IBF title.

Flyweight: After an absence of a few years, and without ever losing it in the ring, Moruti Mthalane is now once again the IBF flyweight titlist.

Strawweight: Vic Saludar made good on his second chance at a belt at 105 lbs., going on the road to Japan for a decision over Ryuya Yamanaka for the WBO strap.
