Kody Davies has had his next fight confirmed.

The undefeated 24-year-old is campaigning at super-middleweight and was most recently in action last month.

Davies outpointed Eric Mokonzo at Bethnal Green’s famous York Hall venue in London, exclusively live on UKTV channel Dave, to move to 5-0 with two early.

But the Welshman has been handed an altogether closer to home opportunity to enhance his unblemished ledger after being confirmed as an addition to Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing’s next instalment of the JDNXTGEN series on August 4 at the Ice Arena in Cardiff.

Davies will be joined on the Sky Sports-aired bill, which is headlined by a clash between Joe Cordina and Sean Dodd for the vacant Commonwealth lightweight title, by WBC Youth super-lightweight champion Akeem Ennis Brown, Welsh Area light-heavyweight champion Nathan Thorley and super-middleweight prospect Daniel Barton.

Kazakh Olympic champion Daniyar Yeleussinov fights for the fourth time in the paid code, while Natasha Jonas makes the first defence of her WBA female International super-featherweight title, while Jordan Gill looks to remain undefeated, Sean McGoldrick fights in his home city for the first time as a pro and Gamal Yafai will look to get back to winning ways.

Meanwhile, Sean Turner has been taken off the MTK Liverpool bill at Greenbank Sports Academy on July 21, exclusively live on iFL TV, due to unforeseen circumstances.

The undercard of Eddie Hearn’s next UK show, on July 28 at the O2 Arena in London, exclusively live on Sky Sports Box Office, topped by Dillian Whyte’s crunch heavyweight showdown against Joseph Parker, has been beefed up by the additions of both Charlie Duffield and Richard Riakporhe.

And the aforementioned Hearn has added to his Matchroom stable with the signing of John Docherty.

Docherty, 20, won Commonwealth Games bronze for Scotland earlier this year but will make his paid debut at super-middleweight in the new season after leaving behind the amatur ranks to turn over under Tony Sims.
