Super middleweight Stefan Haertel, 15-0, 1ko, is in against Adam Deines, 15-0-1, in his debut for SES March 3 in Weissenfels. Haertel, a former Olympian, has had all his previous fights with Sauerland Event.

Light heavyweight Enrico Koelling, 24-2, is also to fight in Weissenfels and like Haertel, this is his debut for SES.

Dominic Boesel vs Serhyi Demchencko for the EBU 175 lb title tops the bill.

Light heavyweight prospect Serge "Bavarian Sniper" Michel,  a former amateur star and now 3-0, takes on Dutchman Giovanni Rijkaard, 3-1, on Saturday, March 3, in Cologne in a supporting fight to Avni Yildrim vs Derek Edwards.

Michel is promoted by Petko´s Box Promotion and returned the action earlier this month after an eight month long injury related layoff.

Anthony Yigit is all set to take on Ivan Baranchyk on March 9 in Deadwood, South Dakota, and he´s apparently all set to keep the EBU 140 lb title. On Monday there was purse bids scheduled for "Can You Dig It" Yigit´s mandatory defence against Frenchman Franck Petitjean. However, on the request from both parties the deadline was pushed back to March 12.

Spanish jr welterweight Sandor Martin, 30-2-1, will according to Espabox make his US debut March 10 at the Kingston Theatre in Brooklyn, NY. Opponent is to be announced. Martin is signed with Real Deal Promotions over there.

USA Boxing, Metro (“Metro”) opens the 2018 New York Metro Qualifiers on March 1st at Yonkers PAL, located at 127 North Broadway in Yonkers.  Doors will open at 6 PM. Boxing fans will not only experience some of the best amateur boxing in the world, they will also have the opportunity to mix and mingle with boxing stars and boxing world notables. Proceeds will help send Qualifiers champions to the National Golden Gloves in Omaha, Nebraska in May.

“We are excited to start our tournament at one of Metro’s member gyms that produced boxers such as Golden Gloves champ Sean Daughtry and Golden Gloves and professional champion Douglas Gray,” said USA Boxing, Metro’s Interim President, and world champion boxer, Sonya Lamonakis.  “The site of many exciting boxing shows, fans feel like they’re in the ring with the boxers, competing for the coveted championships of each weight class.  It’s an experience any sports fan should not miss.”
