This Saturday, in the city of Naha, the capital of the province of Okinawa that is more than 1,500 kilometers southwest of Tokyo, there was the official weigh-in for the world title showdown between the unbeaten flyweight world champion of the World Boxing Council (WBC), Daigo Higa (14-0, 14KOs, 22 years old) and his Mexican challenger Moises "El Felino" Fuentes (25-4-1, 14KOs, 30 years old and from Mexico City).

The two boxers will go on to headline an event that will take place on Sunday, February 4, at Dudokan Arena in Naha city. The contest will be the second world title defense for Higa, who picked up the belt last May in Tokyo with a vicious knockout in the sixth round over Mexican veteran Juan "Churritos" Hernández.

Higa did not have any problems with making the flyweight limit as he weighed in at 112 pounds, while former world champion Fuentes was a little lighter at 111.75 pounds for the scheduled twelve round battle.
