Former four division world champion Adrien Broner (32-2, 24KOs) has responded to the recent comments from Danny Garcia (32-0, 18KOs), who holds the WBC welterweight title.

Garcia captured the vacant title back in January with a twelve round unanimous decision over former beltholder Robert Guerrero. The belt became vacant when Floyd Mayweather Jr. announced his retirement last September after decisioning Andre Berto.

Neither Broner or Garcia have upcoming dates finalized and neither of them have finalized opponents.

Broner, who in April stopped Ashley Theophane and plans to return to the welterweight limit of 147-pounds, has been calling for a fight with Garcia in several interviews.

Broner had previously held the WBA title at 147. He dropped down to junior welterweight after suffering a decision loss to Marcos Maidana in late 2013. Last year Broner made a minor step in the welterweight direction by facing Shawn Porter at a catch-weight of 144-pounds and lost another decision. When he dropped to 140, he won two fights and both by TKO.

As BoxingScene.com previously reported, Garcia is willing to make the Broner fight happen and sees that match as a pay-per-view encounter.

"[I want the best fights]. We can make the Adrien Broner fight happen. That's a fight... that's something that the fans always wanted because me and Broner, out of the pack, we made the longest stretch as being the most relevant boxers. The Broner fight would be a good pay-per-view fight," Garcia said to Fox Deportes.

Garcia's comments got back to Broner, who is ready to make the fight as soon as possible.

"Hell yeah we can make this fight happen. Danny Garcia my homie, but we in the same business.... friends and all that other sh*t come second. Ain't no bad blood - but to be the best you have to fight the best. Ain't no more ducking, let's do this sh*t......$10 million a piece, pay-per-view, let's do this sh*t," Broner stated.
