With Zou Shiming suffering a cut over his left eye (along with some noticeable swelling) in his last outing against Kwanpichit Onesongchai Gym on the Manny Pacquiao-Chris Algieri undercard, his next fight against IBF flyweight champion Amnat Ruenroeng has been pushed back to March 8th according to promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank.

"(Zou) could go in February but to be safe we changed the date of the fight to March the 8th," the veteran promoter told BoxingScene.com on Friday afternoon.

This fight will take place at the Venetian Resort in Macao where the two-time Olympic gold medalist has fought his previous six professional bouts.

Arum explained further,"I didn't want to take the chance of keeping the February 14th date and then the cut opens or something. I think this gives him four weeks more to make sure that he's OK before he starts sparring. It's probably unnecessary  but it's such a big fight for China that I just wanted to be safe and the Venetian is very happy with March the 8th."
