| Zbik, Universum Financial Dispute is Starting To Explode
By Per Ake persson Hamburger Abendblatt brings a disturbing story regarding Universum and middleweight Sebastian Zbik. Zbik fought WBA super champion Felix Sturm, lost and got a 250,000 EUR payday for his efforts. Sturm has paid Universum but Zbik still haven´t received his money and has now taken legal action. Universum boss Waldemar Kluch confirms having been paid by Sturm but had other fighters to pay as well and tells the Abendblatt that all debts will be settled eventually but not right now. A big part of the problem is the financial dispute with Universum´s former main owners, Klaus Peter Kohl and Dietmar Poszwa, over the takeover of Universum. With no TV deal in sight, Universum face a difficult future even if the company is still strong with their roster of fighters. Tags: Sebastian Zbik |

Zbik got (well, should have got) 300k to fight Strum?? Damn! Stack that onto his 290,000 he got against Chavez, and he had a pretty good year for a man that had previously been unheard of outside Germany and fought no one. |
