Zaurbek Baysangurov-Joey Hernandez in Talks, 3/23

By Gregory Stangrit

There are ongoing discussions to make a match between WBO junior middleweight champion Zaurbek Baysangurov (28-1, 20KOs) and top-rated challenger Joey "Twinkle Fingers" Hernandez (23-1-1, 13KOs). The match would headline a special event at the Moscow Dynamo in Krylatskoye. There were prior negotiations to have Baysangurov face Spaniard Ruben Varon (40-6, 18KOs), but the talks fell through.

I sometimes forget but Baysangurov is a champ! How the hell did that happen? Hernandez isn't that good but I'll be pulling for him.
