Zahir Raheem Returns on March 23, After Two Years Off
by Mike Coppinger
According to Zahir Raheem's advisor Matt Yanofsky, the former Erik Morales conqueror will make his return to the ring on March 23 after a two-year plus layoff. He'll be fighting New Zealand native Santos Pakau (28-7-2, 11 KOs) at the Emerald Queen Casino in Washington.
Raheem (31-3, 18 KOs) defeated Morales on HBO in 2005 but lost to Acelino Freitas in his next fight. He hasn't fought since a 2010 knockout of Roberto Valenzuela.
