Yordenis Ugas, Camilo Perez Score Wins in Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -- In the walk-out bout of the Top Rank Live card from Atlantic City, N.J., Pedro Martinez (6-4, 3 KOs) of Philadelphia, Pa. defeated Elvin Sanchez (4-2, 3 KOs) of Paterson, N.J. via unanimous decision in a four round cruiserweight contest.

Yordenis Ugas (9-0, 4 KOs) of Havana, Cuba defeated Fernando Rodriguez (6-5, 3 KOs) of Dallas, Tx. in a six round welterweight contest. Scores were 59-55 twice and 58-56.

In a super bantamweight match-up, undefeated Camilo Perez of Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico improved his record to 5-0, (4) with a second round stoppage over James Owens (4-6, 2 KOs) of Milwaukee. Owens beat the referee's count after hitting the deck but was deemed unfit to continue. Time of the stoppage was 1:43 of round two.

In a super middleweight slugfest, undefeated Derrick Webster (10-0, 6 KOs) of Glassboro, N.J. out-lasted Romaro Johnson (11-4-1, 6 KOs) of Cleveland over six rounds. Scores were 59-55 twice and 60-54.
