Wlodarczyk Expects a Very Tough Challenge From Tarver

by Ruslan Chikov

WBC cruiserweight champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk (46-2-1, 33 KOs) expects IBO king Antonio Tarver (29-6, 20 KOs) to be his toughest opponent in years. Negotiations have been ongoing, but Wlodarczyk is uncertain as to the exact date or the location. Wlodarczyk is already starting to train and get himself in shape.

"It will be one of the more difficult [fights in my career]. Certainly as difficult for me since the fight with [Steve] Cunningham when he was still in his prime. It seems to me that Tarver will be one of my toughest opponents. He's very experienced and a complete fighter. He can box forward, backward, go down the line. He knows everything, so it will be very difficult for me in this fight," Wlodarczyk told Ring Polska.

How do you fight a guy that knows everything? This is going to be a good fight. Really like that Wlodazyk is taking the challenge instead of just defending in Poland against easier opponents. Things are finally starting to happen…
