There are several reports in Poland which quote Andrzej Wasilewski, promoter for WBC cruiserweight champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk (46-2-1, 33KOs), as stating that his boxer could possibly face former four division champion Roy Jones Jr. (55-8, 40KOs) in Gdansk, Poland in March 2012.
Jones' run at cruiser has been rough road. He was stopped by Danny Green in one round and then knocked out cold by Denis Lebedev in the twelfth. He returned on December 10th and won an easy ten round decision over unknown Max Alexander.
Whether there are any serious discussions taking place is unknown, but Jones continues to be one of the most recognizable American boxing figures in countries outside of the United States.
There is one problem in the way. The Polish champion was recently ordered by the World Boxing Council to defend his title against mandatory challenger Francisco Palacios of Puerto Rico.
