| Wladimir Klitschko Returns in March, Boytsov Possible

By Luke Furman WBO/IBO/WBA/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (59-3, 50KOs) will make his next title defense in the month of March. Wladimir was in action last Saturday in Hamburg, winning a solid twelve round unanimous decision over undefeated Mariusz Wach. It's being said that unbeaten Denis Boytsov (31-0, 25KOs) is a possible option for Wladimir. Another option is WBA mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin (25-0, 17KOs). There is still some confusion over when that mandatory is due. Wladimir's side is claiming they have an extension until July, while Sauerland Event are firm that February 27 is the deadline to make the mandatory match. Wladimir has no intention of fighting before March. Povetkin could be under consideration but it won't happen by the end of February.
