Williams in Hot Water Over Ripping Mundine-Geale Judges

Sonny Bill Williams is facing the possibility of legal action after he called judges in the Daniel Geale-Anthony Mundine fight "corrupt'' on Twitter, according to Australian reports.

After the fight, which Mundine lost, Williams posted a photo and tweeted: "Hanging out with @Anthony-Mundine celebrating a victory. We don't pay attention to corrupt judges!!''

However, Williams later tweeted an apology for his comments.

"Sorry about the tweet last night. Emotions were running high just very disappointed for my brother and that's how I saw the fight.

"No disrespect meant to Geale he's a great champion-fighter and it was a great night.''

The judges of the IBF Middleweight World title fight held in Sydney on Wednesday night are considering a defamation case over the comments, news.com.au reported this morning.

Williams' comments went to his more than 200,000 Twitter followers.

NSW Combat Authority boss Denis Fitzgerald said he would wait for a report due next week about what had happened before deciding what action to take, the website reported.

......wonder what Mundine's 'victory party' was like, some big helpings of Humble Pie and Ice Packs all round I am guessing.

I gave Geale 11 rounds even though he didn't win the rounds big or anything. Most of the rounds were competitive but Geale edged almost all of them in my opinion.

Good there are too many robberies in boxing to try and make a clearly judge fight look like one. Mundine was dominated and everyone that is not bias noes it.
