| Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. Returns in June, Eyes Regional Belt
By Rey Colon Former WBO super bantamweight champion Wilfredo 'Papito' Vazquez (21-2-1, 18KOs) will be back in the month of June in a fight possibly involving a WBO regional title, according to hi promoter Felix 'Tutico' Zabala. Vazquez returns from a twelve round split decision loss to WBO 122-pound champion Nonito Donaire, which took place on February 4th. Papito's return could possibly take place on June 16th on a card also featuring WBO Latino featherweight champion Orlando Cruz. According Zabala, he doesn't rule out the possibility of Vazquez moving up to the featherweight division to chase a fight with WBO champion Orlando Salido - but Zabala's priority at the moment is getting Orlando Cruz the shot with Salido. Hes a good kid, hell fight anybody, good strong heart. Hes still got a good record and he isnt damaged. Those 2 losses didnt damage his body & spirit. Juanma, now that cats 2 losses were damaging!! Wilfredo is still cool. |

bout should have been a UD but 4 Texas ref, Dickie Coles boy, judge Garcia, what a disgrace this guy/was/is 2 our sport...WV2 is running on heart & will have a few setups & then lose in another title op...he fights hard but he won't beat any of the current champs, worse if he moves up in wt... |
