Wilfredo Vazquez Jr: I'll Return on Marquez Card on July 14

By Ryan Burton ran into former super bantamweight champion Wilfredo "Papito" Vazquez (21-2-1, 18KOs) at the weigh-in for this past Saturday's clash between Brandon Rios and Richard Abril. Vazquez was in town to film a segment for HBO Latino regarding the fight.

WV2 last fought in February when he lost a split decision to Nonito Donaire in San Antonio, TX. The Puerto Rican fighter told Boxingscene that he was advised that his next fight will also take place in Texas on the undercard of Juan Manuel Marquez's next fight.

"I was told my next fight is in Dallas on July 14th. Juan Manuel Marquez versus Brandon Rios might be the main event. They haven't said who my opponent is yet," said Vazquez.
