WBC heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder (38-0, 37 KOs) has fired some verbal jabs at Eddie Hearn, promoter for WBA, IBF, IBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (19-0, 19 KOs).

Wilder wants to fight Joshua sooner than later - but claims Hearn is dragging his feet when it comes to negotiating a deal to make it happen.

Wilder is scheduled to return a week later.

After the World Boxing Council pulled Luis Ortiz for failing a pre-fight drug test, Wilder will now make a mandatory defense of his own, in a rematch with Bermane Stiverne on November 4, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Wilder captured his title in January 2015 with a dominating twelve round decision over Stiverne, who is still the only boxer to reach the final bell with the WBC champ. The 'Bronze Bomber' has now promised to end Stiverne inside the distance and punish him along the way.

In a recent interview, Hearn made a firm prediction that he feels Joshua will knock Wilder out within three rounds - and now Wilder wants Hearn to put his money where his mouth is.

"Eddie Hearn says his man will knock me out in three, so why haven't you made the fight yet? If you are so confident, why are you stalling? Why do you stare at me when you're with your friends, look up and down, sizing me up? Because you're scared. Everybody is scared. I will unify the division and it will be very soon," Wilder said to Sky Sports.

Hearn has been talking about the idea of a big unification for next summer, but Joshua has conducted a recent interview where he discussed the possibility of the fight taking place much further out - which doesn't sit well with Wilder. Both world champions are showcased on Showtime.
