Amir Khan and Lamont Peterson both made weight for their 12-round super lightweight championship fight Saturday evening in Washington D.C.
Khan (26-1-1, 18KO) came in at 139 lb, while Peterson (29-1-1, 15KO) weighed in at the divisional limit of 140 lb.
In the evening’s co-feature, unbeaten American heavyweight prospect Seth Mitchell faces veteran Timur Ibragimov of Uzbekistan.
Ibragimov (30-3-1, 16KO) weighed 221 lb, his lightest weight in more than five years, dating back to his HBO-televised bout with Calvin Brock when both were unbeaten contenders. Mitchell (23-0-1, 17KO) checked in at a career low 240.5 lb.
Both bouts will air live on HBO, along with the exclusive rebroadcast of last week’s pay-per-view headliner between Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito (Saturday, 9:45PM ET).
