The World Boxing Council is positioning to order a rematch of last Saturday's junior middleweight final eliminator between Vanes Martirosyan (32-0-1, 20 KOs) and Erislandy Lara (17-1-2, 11 KOs). The fight ended early after a clash of heads in the ninth round. Vanes sustained a severe cut above his left eye and was unable to continue. The judges scored a technical draw verdict, which left the WBC without a mandatory challenger to champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

The two boxers will retain their top ranking positions and the organization will once again order them to exchange punches for a mandatory shot at the title. The fight left much to be desired and it's highly unlikely that either of the two networks, HBO and Showtime, will be interested in picking up a second helping of this match.

[QUOTE=P4P Prince]Trust me its a hard pill for me to swallow saying ginger will beat both of them, but you will see...I agree ginger has fought guys in lower weight class, but key word here is FIGHT, he does FIGHT, not sit there and dance around like Lara, or scared for his perfect record to have...

I also had Lara up in the fight. Nothing to do with bias.
