WBA's Mendoza: Supervisor Said Jones Took a Test

By Alexey Sukachev

While the event promoters refuse to comment on the situation, WBA Vice President Gilberto Mendoza says his organization's supervisor in Moscow "guaranteed" that WBA cruiserweight champion Guillermo Jones (39-3-2, 31KOs) took a post-fight drug test following his eleventh round TKO of Denis Lebedev at the Crocus City Hall in Moscow, Russia.

Individuals connected with the event have told numerous major outlets in Russia that Jones "refused" to take a post-fight test. BoxingScene was told the same. No official word has been provided on the situation in Moscow.

Following the loss, Lebedev went directly to the hospital with horrible facial swelling and cuts.

Lol anything to discredit a win its cool though Jones schooled Lebedev and now his fanboys are looking for any way to make themselves feel better. People forget this fight took place out of the country so its not going…

Sanctioning bodies are corrupt but so far this is the most legit source.
If the sanctioning body of the title confirms it thats good enough for me
i agree...........it's pretty much cemented but I'll still keep a watchful eye over this.

keep in mind the wba is based out of panama so i would take what they say about a panamanian boxer with a grain of salt. we'll just have to wait until things are confirmed.
