According to the World Boxing Association, the WBA's "super champion" at super middleweight, Andre Ward (26-0, 14KOs) will have to face the winner of the upcoming fight between Brian Magee (36-4-1, 25KOs) and Mikkel Kessler (45-2, 34KOs).

Magee and Kessler will fight on December 8th in Denmark for the "regular" WBA championship. Following the conclusion of that fight, the WBA will give Ward six months to face the winner.

Ward, who may return on January 26th against Kelly Pavlik, already holds an eleven round technical decision over Kessler from their 2009 fight in the first stage of the Super Six tournament.

Think Ward-Kessler II in Denmark would be a solid fight for both fighters. Ward would surely make the most money he's probably ever made fighting there, and Kessler is a warrior who would be a handful for all fighters.
why? what does froch have anything to do with ward bute? if bute wins his next fight here it would be a good fight. styles make fights. or would you rather see him rematch the same guys over and over again I would rather watch Ward Bute than Ward vs Abraham rematch or Kelly ...

I hope Ward fights Pavlik in January, get the year started nice and early. Then the Froch/Bute II winner in the fall. No sense in a Kessler rematch and even less sense laying your undefeated record on the line against a Sauerland fighter, just ask Carl Froch.

I guess that will be a good fight for Ward who ever wins.
Like who????
Gennady Golovkin has said he will fight Ward at 168, Andre Dirrell would be another good name and maybe step up to 175 and get a belt there. He's already beat Kessler convincingly and Magee does not belong in the elite class.
