Top super middleweights Andre Ward and Andre Dirrell were not surprised with Carl Froch's fifth round destruction of previously undefeated Lucian Bute on Saturday night in Nottingham. Bute, who mostly fought against second-tier opponents in Canada and didn't take part in the Super Six tournament, was not highly regarded by the other top names at 168-pounds. Most of them believed the Montreal superstar was being overhyped. Froch proved them right.

Prior to the fight, Ward wrote the following - "I can envision Froch putting a lot pressure on Bute - and physically and mentally breaking him down."

After the fight, Ward, who decisioned Froch last year in the final bout of the Super Six, wrote - "Bute can be broken. Well, what can you say? Carl fought the right fight by pressing Bute and answering him whenever Bute did land - it worked!

Dirrell, who lost a twelve round decision to Froch in 2009, lashed out at Bute for his lackluster performance - "Bute is a bum, he can't even make it to the corner. Welcome to the real world Bute."

Props to Ward for showing respect and proving to be the best @ 168 IN THE RING! Few fighters stay active and fight against top comp on a regular basis, enjoy Ward's work ethic while it lasts. Dirrell? I can't understand why everyone is hyping this guy up. He has 1 good win on his resume (Abraham)...

Why do you people always make excuses for Carl Froch? He made enough excuses of his own after the fight with Dirrell. Which he supposedly won. So Carl Froch judo tripping Dirrell is Dirrell flopping in the minds of Froch excusers? I would also guess that Dirrell making Froch miss with his punches...

I have to admit that I am a bit confused with all the disrespect that Ward is getting. And he really has nothing left to prove at 168. And I can't believe that someone on this forum actually stated that Ward was riding Froch's dick. I find that to be absolutely absurd. Simply because if Ward and ...

[QUOTE=damned1974]Ward predicted Froch could break Bute down.Ward gave Froch props.... The only one d1ck riding Froch is you and you are sh1tty that Ward schooled Froch. Ward said Bute should fight the same competition he has as opposed to being a vulture trying to fight the winner of the s...
