Froch: This is My Defining Moment To Become a Superstar!
Carl Froch has promised to "make the bookies look ridiculous" by shrugging off his underdog tag and beating heavy favourite Andre Ward tonight.

Carl Froch has promised to "make the bookies look ridiculous" by shrugging off his underdog tag and beating heavy favourite Andre Ward tonight.

More than two years ago, Dan Goossen of Goossen Tutor Promotions entered his fighter, Andre Ward, into a tournament that had the potential to make him — to turn the super-middleweight prospect into a champion — or break him by putting him in the ring with many of the best 168-pound fighters in the sport.

All the talk is done. The delays are past. The Super Six Super Middleweight tournament roller coaster heads into its final peak with the stakes as high as can be. The winner leaves with the silver cup, two alphabet titles, and the lineal World Championship left vacant since Joe Calzaghe moved on to Light Heavyweight in 2008.

It is finally upon us. After more than two years since the birth of the Showtime Super Six World Boxing Classic, the finish line is well within sight as Andre Ward and Carl Froch are set to square off in the highly anticipated finale Saturday evening at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

In an interview with BoxingScene.com, veteran cut-man Jacob “Stitch” Duran spoke about the cuts Andre Ward has suffered in the past and whether — if at all — there is any worry about the effect they could have on Ward’s bout with Carl Froch.

Danish three time super middleweight champion Mikkel Kessler will be ringside later tonight at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, as he watches the Super Six final between Andre Ward of America and Carl Froch of England. He'll be rooting for the Englishman.

Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City - Andre Ward (25-0, 13KOs) dominated Carl Froch (28-2, 20KOs) over twelve rounds to win the Super Six tournament, and unifies the WBA and WBC super middleweight titles. After two long years, the Super Six Boxing Classic comes to an end. Ward is the only boxer to go undefeated in the entire Super Six tourney. During the tourney he won decisions over Mikkel Kessler, Allan Green and Arthur Abraham.

Former champion Robert Guerrero has been on a roll with his boxing predictions, including an accurate call on last week's junior welterweight bout between Lamont Peterson and Amir Khan in Washington, DC. Guerrero predicted a fast start by Khan, and saw Peterson fighting back in the later rounds to win a close split decision, which is exactly what happened. Later tonight at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, Carl Froch and Andre Ward will stake their super middleweight titles in the final bout of the Super Six Boxing Classic.

Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City - IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute (30-0, 24KOs) is pulling for Carl Froch to defeat Andre Ward in their 168-pound unification later tonight. Bute, who plans to sit ringside, is upset with some of the comments Froch made about his record and his ability. However, Bute views it as a very tough task for Froch to accomplish.

Carl Froch threw more punches per round than Andre Ward. Both Landed about the same. Ward landed 44% of his power punches. Froch also threw 17 more jabs per round than the weight class average. Who gets the close rounds - the more efficient Ward of the busier Froch?
