WBO European heavyweight champ Michael Wallisch (15-0) will now defend his title against Croatian Ivica Bacurin (23-8-1), with the title fight to take place January 9 at Maritim Hotel in Berlin, Germany.
Wallisch was previously left without an opponent after Poland's Marcin Rekowski. Bacurin agreed to take the fight on short notice, to a degree saving the event that is co-promoted by Sport Events Steinforth (SES) and Polex Boxpromotion.
In the co-feature, middleweight Jan Meiser (10-0) take on Hungarian Szabolcs Szabo (10-2-1) in a defense of the WBO Youth title. Robin Krasniqi (44-4-0) is now down to super middleweight as he will square off against Cagri Ermis (18-9-2).
On that very same evening but but in Offenburg, WBA interim champ at 168 Vincent Feigenbutz defends the title against Davide De Carolis.
The undercard is still being worked on but there is an interesting clash between heavyweights Dennis Lewandowski (6-0) and Aziz Baran (5-1) and super middleweight prospect Stefan Haertel (7-0) face Hungarian Jozsef Racz (5-5).
