WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (41-2, 38 KOs) is not taking Odlanier Solis (17-0, 12 KOs) for granted. He defends his belt against Solis, a 2004 Olympic gold medal winner, on March 19 at the Lanxess-Arena in Cologne. Before the two boxers met face to face at a press conference in Germany to announce their upcoming fight, Solis promised to eliminate bother Viatli and his younger brother, IBO/IBF/WBO champion Wladimir Klitschko, from the sport of boxing. Vitali has promised to turn the tables.
"He's a good fighter, with a good boxing background. I respect him. He's the new generation. He knows how to fight. He yells that he's going to rid the world of the Klitschkos, but that won't happen because I'm going to rid the world of him," Klitschko said.
