The mayor of Kiev and former WBC heavyweight champion, Vitali Klitschko, was just as shocked as everyone else when his younger brother Wladimir Klitschko was upset this past Saturday night in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Wladimir suffered his first defeat in over a decade to huge underdog Tyson Fury of the UK. Fury unexpectedly won the majority to the rounds to earn a twelve round unanimous decision victory.

The judges had it 115:112, 115:112 and 116:111 - as Fury picked up the WBO/IBO/IBF/WBA titles.

There is a rematch clause which Wladimir has promised to exercise. Because of the magnitude of this defeat, Vitali expects everyone to have their eyes fixated on the rematch - to see if Fury can repeat or can Wladimir get his revenge.

"The show will go on," Vitali said. "The audience got used to the fact that Wladimir constantly wins all of his fights. But now, in my opinion, the next fight will generate a ton of interest. Many experts have said that they did not recognize Wladimir [in that fight, because he did not look like his usual self]. I felt the same way, because Wladimir is one of the most skilful fighters in the world."

"Usually he is in good shape, and he fights strategically. This time we did not see him in good condition, no good technique. And the reasons for this we can talk about later, it's too early to discuss them now. Wladimir has a lot of potential [to bounce back], and therefore the question arises - in the rematch, will Wladimir arrive in great shape [and win], or was it mishap [in the first fight]? Only [Wladimir] can answer that question. Let me just note that we have yet to see the huge potential of Wladimir."
