Los Angeles, California - Luis Sandoval catches up with WBA interim-welterweight champion Keith Thurman, who showed off some of his speed, combinations, defensive maneuvers and foot movement. This coming Saturday night at the StubHub Center in Carson, Thurman will face veteran Julio Diaz in the main event of a Showtime televised tripleheader event.

Don't ride the Porter hype train just as yet. Yes he beat Paula bad and worse than all of the stars that did it but it was also a past primed Paula who can't punch. I think one time knocks diaz out in 6 or 7.... but the build up to the porter/thurman fight is growing stronger and it should be a good fight especially if porter comes out how he did against malignaggi.

Michelle Joy Phelps, 'diehard boxing fan', didn't listen to a word he said, texted the whole time. Way to go, MJP. Will be interesting to see if Thurman can back up his boasts in the next 18 months. 147 is stacked. Him and Canelo at 154 could be interesting too.

The porter-thurman clash is starting to build up, much like the mosely-forrest fight had buildup because of their amatuer fights.. if porter-thurman materializes possibly next year, it will be a huge fight, with major implications... but there are two guys who could possibly spoil this clash, in ...
