Video: K9 Bundrage, Smith Nearly Brawl at Weigh-In

By Ryan Burton

Masonic Temple, Detroit, MI- IBF junior middleweight champion Cornelius "K9" Bundrage and his challenger Ishe Smith both made weight during an intense weigh-in. Bundrage weighed 152.8 lbs while Smith tipped the scales at 152.6 lbs. The atmosphere was chippy after words were exchanged words at yesterday's final press conference and a near brawl broke out when the fighters shoved each other in the weigh in.

Moments after the weigh in Bundrage vowed he would knock Smith out. "I'm gonna finish him. I'm gonna finish him. He's not gonna be Floyd's waterboy after I'm done with him. Floyd's gonna have to fire him."

Local product J'Leon Smith weighed in at 161 and his challenger Derrick Findley weighed 161.6 lbs which was .6 lbs over the contracted weight for their Showtime televised co-featured bout. The two fighters had to be separated during their face off at yesterday's final press conference.
