At The Tank in San Jose, California, junior welterweight prospect Victor Ortiz (24-1-1, 19 KOs) turned into a top contender after taking out veteran Mike Arnaoutis (21-3-2, 10 KOs) in two rounds.

The fight started slow. Ortiz was doing most of the work in the first and had Arnaoutis backing up and moving away often. In the second round, Ortiz rocked him with a huge left hand and then battered him in the corner until the ref jumped in and stopped the fight.
