Victor Cayo-Lamont Peterson Deal Reached For July 23

BoxingScene.com has been advised that a deal has been reached for an IBF junior welterweight eliminator for the #1 position, between #3 ranked Victor Cayo and #4 ranked Lamont Peterson. A purse bid, scheduled for May 31, has been canceled. Both sides have reached an agreement to do the fight on July 23, 2011 in either Atlantic City or Las Vegas.Tags: Lamont Peterson , Victor Cayo , Peterson-Cayo , Peterson vs Cayo

Peterson recently refused a Khan's offer to fight. One would've thought he's in the running for a Mayweather or Pacquiao showdown. I wonder what he's getting for this fight. Peterson like Judah, claimed Khan priced himself out, yet Khan, in the meantime, has the star power and interest of majo...

This will be a pretty good fight. Lamont will stop Cayo in the later rounds

Good undercard fight. I see a Peterson UD or maybe even late stoppage
