Unbeaten featherweight contender Jayson Velez (22-0-1) is looking to return to the ring in the first quarter of 2015. He last fought in November when he battled IBF featherweight champion Evgeny Gradovich to a draw.
If he can't secure a rematch, the 26-year-old still wants to return in a big fight.
"I am ready for a rematch whenever he wants it. I'm here and I'm not scared. We can do it whenever he wants," said Velez.
Another fight that the Puerto Rican is interested in is a Mexico versus Puerto Rico battle against Jhonny Gonzalez. Velez said that Gonzalez, Nonito Donaire, Lomachenko and Nicolas Walters are all on his target list.
"I would love that fight. I am ready for him or anyone. I am not dodging any fight. If it's going to be Jhonny, that's good. If it's Gradovich it's good to. If it's Walters, Donaire or Lomachenko, it's good. I am ready for any of them,"
Velez told Boxingscene.com.
