Former WBO super bantamweight champion Wilfredo Vazquez Jr., has branded Mexico's Jorge 'Travieso' Arce as a coward. The Puerto Rican boxer is very angry over Arce's failed promise to provide him with a rematch. Last year, Arce upset Vazquez with a twelfth round TKO to win the WBO super bantamweight title. On February 4th in Texas, Vazquez will get his chance at redemption by fighting Nonito Donaire for the vacant WBO title that Arce left behind.

Arce plans to attend the fight, at San Antonio's Alamodome, to challenge the winner. If Vazquez defeats Donaire, he vows not to give Arce a rematch and plans to look for other lucrative opportunities.

"Arce is going to remain a coward and he will continue to be a girl. He doesn't keep his word like a man. When I win on the night of February 4, I will go in another direction. He made me see that his word is worthless. And to me, a coward is a man who does not keep his word, and I will not fight him," Vazquez said firmly.

Donaire already said he would fight Arce if he beats Vazquez and that's all Bob Arum cares about. He promotes both Arce and Donaire, Vazquez just gets co promoted by Top Rank which is way this fight is happening which is cool for us but if Vazquez does pull off the upset. I don't blame him for n...
Yeah, yeah, yeah, BUT.. it's STILL no reason for Arce to reneg on his word. Judging YOUR words of "logic" I can imagine that YOU live by the same code and have little regard for YOUR word as well. Anyway, that's the impression that YOU are giving us according to YOUR comment. Look man...
Nonsense. The kid has great balance and throws shots equally well with both hands--reminds me of Wilfred Benitez. He'll beat Donnaire.
Dumbest post of the day! Boxers who are much better than WV and use both hands still don't come near to Benitez.
