| V. Klitschko Says Charr Title Defense is Still Not Done
|
|
By Luke Furman WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (44-2, 40KOs) has disputed reports that a deal was reached for a September 8th defense against undefeated contender Manuel Charr (21-0, 11KOs) at the Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex in Kiev, Ukraine. Last week there were reports that a "financial issue" was holding up the fight, but Charr later declared that "money wasn't the issue" and there were other reasons for the fight not being finalized at the moment. "Indeed [my return is not set], it was reported that my fight will be held at the Olimpiyskiy and that even the opponent was named. I can verify that this information is not true. I did not sign any contracts. When I have specific information, we will immediately assemble a press conference to inform [everyone] about where and when I'm having my next fight," Klitschko said. [QUOTE=WladimirK]Well, who knows what's going on under the surface.
Fact is, Haye could have fought Vitali long ago, and now it's almost certainly too late for him. And as you say yourself, Haye is undeserving.

[QUOTE=JAB5239]Haye, as undeserving as he is, is a whole lot more credible than Charr.
Oh, and Haye agreed to everything, the only hang up point is Vitaly doesn't want to give up half the British PPV even though it would be Haye bringing in that audience. So much for Vitaly's own words about i... |
